How the Earth was made on the History Channel

I was watching TV the other day and learned that the earth is much older than the first scientists have predicted. Thanks to the brilliant mind and ability of a young man in his twenties, he figured out exactly what it takes to be able to tell how old the earth is and everything else like trees, etc. I have not really been paying attention to a lot of scientific shows on TV since I became addicted to the computer...LOL-just kidding. But really, I don't get to watch TV often anymore because I am working online and my hobbies are computer based such as blogging and digital scrapbooking. So I sit in front of the computer more than I do in front of the TV. Now I am beginning to take time and pay attention because I want to learn as I am quite intrigued by how everything evolved.
My husband is, too, by the way, so he always likes to watch educational TV programs. I am glad he is, because even when I am on the computer I can still hear and see the TV, which is like "Killing two birds with one stone". I get to use the computer and watch TV at the same time, and learn some interesting things I never knew before. We all need to be educated, because that is the only way we learn. However, we can’t be manipulated and easily influenced for we have a mind of our own and are able to think for ourselves as well as make our own decision solely based on what each of us think is right. I know I am one; I have a mind of my own, and usually go by what I can fathom or understand and not by what somebody said or think. I am hard to get…LOL. Don’t tell me because I can see, read, and find out for myself. That is my attitude, unless I get lazy and say, “Okay, I take your words for it”. Or that it is something like what the scientists do; studying and discovering the facts and things that make the world go round-which is beyond my ability and comprehension since I am not one of them; a scientist. I can only wish, and imagine that it must nice to have such brilliant minds like they have.
Alright, let me go back to what I am supposed to be writing about here as I have gone on and on far enough. I wanted to share that I learned how old the earth is. So yeah, would you know it, the Earth is actually 4.05 billion years old now. Isn't it amazing to know that? It fascinates me when I hear things like that, and it just makes me want to learn even more. I am learning about the universe and different planets through the following cable TV channels; History Channel, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic Channel. Wow, it is amazing how earth developed to be the blue and livable planet that it is today. Yep, all the way from having a molten hot lava surface to the way it is now; habitable by humans and animals alike. The earth cooled off and became our Blue Planet. That is why we still have volcanoes.
On the lighter note: I had a laugh reading some comments on a forum about "How The Earth Was Made", and by a few people saying "Sounds like you're approaching it with an open mind"-when someone sounded in disgust, and the other said "Good grief!!!! Scientists actually have opinions and beliefs", and the others saying "how were they able to buy their air time then, and what's stopping you from doing so", "both sides were involved, etc". Well, the fact is, Scientists can only go by facts and possible theories based on facts, if nothing else. Oh, those shows are, indeed, captivating.

Spring Break is over

Tiana is off to school again. Oh, we didn't get to do a lot during the Spring Break. We mostly stayed home because it is still quite cold here in our place. Anyway, I am glad that Tiana can wear a lighter jacket now since it is getting warmer now. If it gets really warm, then we will be outside hanging out; planting flowers, riding our bicycles, and playing basketball. It's fun when you can go out and the weather is nice and warm. So I hope soon the weather here will be warm so we can be outside, my husband and children are mostly going to be outside unless I have a laptop to be outside. I don't want to miss some molah if possible. I have to work hard since I can't seem to save any money. I guess I am just not a saver at all. I am always broke, so I need to keep working to supplement my endless spending. My being shopaholic is costing me big time, and I am not sure how I can break away from such bad habit. It's definitely a hard habit to break...LOL. Who can resist shopping anyway when you are a woman and when you have some money in your hands? It just reminds me of my father that he is struggling with being alcoholic, and I am struggling with being shopaholic...LOL.

I can't seem to find anything good to eat anymore

I am having trouble with what to eat anymore, because most of the time, it is like I have eaten all the food my husband can possibly bring home. Other times, I just have no appetite. So often struggle with thinking about what to cook that will taste good and that we can all eat. It is hard because I can't think of anything good to eat any more. I can only remember about fish and what I would like to eat if I were back home...LOL. Really, I can find so many foods to eat there, and perhaps it is because my people can good so well. My grandmother used to have a restaurant, and that makes me miss all the food there. I hunger for my native food. I think it is only happening to me because I have been here too long. I have got to take a vacation home. I am hoping next year, since it looks impossible for me to go for a visit home this Summer. My husband wants to go, too. Nobody wants to be left behind, and I would like that though, that the whole family can come, because Tiana and Hannah will for sure join me with pigging out. They can eat what I eat, and love fish. So, that is a good thing for me, because they won't have to starve if we can't find American food for them to be able to eat when they get hungry, except with dad, he has to have his kind of food. No fish, nothing that taste fishy for him. Okay, this is all for now. My husband is going to cook dinner. I am letting him cook because I can only think of making a fish soup or simmered fish (inon-onan), the semi snapper looking fish.

A baby survived from being put in the microwave

I was just reading terrible news about a 25 year old man in Texas microwaving his 2month old baby daughter. Oh, how horrible. I can't believe that someone can do such a thing to an innocent and defenseless baby; a girl. When he went to a trial he claimed that has had mental illness since he was 10 years old. Well, doing what he did is I would say out of rage and due to his uncontrollable temper. Having a mental illness doesn't always make you do something that you decide upon, especially act on, and just like what he did, literally putting his daughter inside a microwave for 5-10 sec. He also punched the baby I read and placed her in a safe and refrigerator where he stayed, at a hotel. The poor baby was severely burned with her hands all bone with no skin and muscle left, just tendons but luckily she survived. She had to undergo a number of surgeries, and will continue to undergo in the years to come. The story can be found at the USA Today. Anyway, I am just sharing a little about what I learned, that really disgust me when someone can hurt a fragile baby. There is really no excuse at all when hurting a baby. The father will now served his sentence for 25 years, and won't be eligible for parole until he served at least half of his sentence while his daughter will suffer for the rest of her life. The foster mother is really angry and said that, she also thinks the father doesn't deserve the 25 years sentence because it should be natural life. The baby's mother is now living in Kansas and will lose her rights to her baby.

It's the weekend and I was on YouTube searching for some upbeat songs, and happened to remember "Lambada" as one of the upbeat songs that I used to hear a lot in my homeland. It is a hit with everybody that like its beat, but I haven't heard about it being a forbidden dance though. I guess in other countries such as the U.S. it is forbidden because it is too sexy or sexual. My husband said that it was not allowed in the U.S. for a while, but with the way people are today, surely, it is now welcome. People ought to see how some of the music artists dance today...LOL, to mention a few; Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Madonna. Sex sale as they say, so almost anything goes these days. The parents just need to keep control of what shows their children watch for discretion. Anyway, I like Lambada, and the way people dance to that song. It is upbeat and fun to dance as far I am concerned. It sounds good and I am for it. The people in south America particularly in Brazil are more open when it comes to sexuality, some of them even goes to the beach bare naked. So apparently there is no malice there and everyone can do as they please. It's kind of nice; it is just that children may learn something they are not supposed to learn just yet. That is the only problem; a beach should have those people if only adults are allowed there. That is unless, of course, nudity is natural in the culture.

No more out of proportion labia with labia plastic surgery

I can very well understand why vaginal surgery is becoming quite common with women especially after childbirth, because of increase incidence of vaginal relaxation and the fact that some women have labias that are out of proportion. No over spending with PayPal

I found that out when I only had very little money left in my PayPal account...LOL. PayPal does not allow anyone to over-spend unless tied to a bank account that has a lot of money for a back up. I like that about pay pal though, because I won't have to worry about paying for anything. See, with my bank, my checking account is connected to my savings account, and I had it set that if I overdraft in my checking account, my savings account will be a back up. However, there is a charge each time I overdraft in my checking account for $15.00. Now that is what I don't like about my bank. It's no good, but since my bank is the closest bank to us, I try to stay, and just avoid over drafting. It is unlike my husband's trusted bank that he is allowed to overdraft by having his savings account connected to his checking without charging any fee. That is the way it should be, that as long as you have money in your savings account, you should never be charged. But my bank does, even if I have the money to back up my checking account. It sucks; I might have to look for another bank closer to us. I need to find one that has the same policy as my husband's bank. We have different banks...LOL. He has his, and I have mine. We are both very independent, but share responsibilities; whatever we have to pay and spend on. He has his share and I have mine, mostly his, of course, he has more money than I do.

I was watching a late night show some time ago and caught something about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie welcoming a twin. Now they will be welcoming twins; a boy and a girl, I read. Oh, I admire people like that, that they have such compassion for others especially those that are suffering and poor. Anyway, Angelina Jolie has made a name for herself even without using her well-known father's surname (John) Voight, and I am glad she paired up with a handsome prince charming like Brad Pitt because they match. Both of them are good looking, and so they definitely make a perfect match for a couple. Now, as for their twins, I am not sure if Angelina has given birth yet, which I thought she already did, but based on what I recently read, she hasn't just yet. So maybe not, and I read they are planning to move to France where they can welcome their twins. Boy, different kids born in different countries. That certainly sets them apart from all the others. Plastic fences are better than concrete fences

Here is something that reminds me about us, getting a new fence because our neighbor has a vicious dog that sometimes gets through our wood fence and get in our backyard. It is quite scary for us because we have small children. So it is a good time for us to think about replacing our fence and get a better one that is much more durable. So far, I like the idea of having a concrete looking fence that is available for us to get. A fence that is solid and durable yet it is made out of a plastic material that is tougher than vinyl. My veins move and it feels weird

Working online is easy, but boy, my fingers and hands especially my right hand, takes a beating. Now a large vein in my right hand on the opposite side of my wrist moves. It is like a worm inside my skin moving back and forth, and it is quite bothersome because it is annoying. It annoys me and it feels weird. So what I do is try to massage it with my finger, to calm it down, so it won't move so much. I asked my husband why my vein moves, and he said it is just a vein twitching. Hmmm...I don't know about that, maybe this is about my blood circulating only sometimes in clumps. I don't want to have a stroke one of these days if this keeps up. I will try to see what this is, and see if I can do something to stop it from moving. Ugh! It's awful, and sometimes, I feel the same thing with my other veins in my legs and even chest, and head. I must be doing something wrong with my body; this is why my veins move. I need to find out why. Anyway, I've gotta go, Happy Friday!!!

The LCD Monitor Screen that came with my computer

I want to make a post about my new monitor screen that came with my new computer. Well, it is a 19" HP LCD monitor screen. So there it is peeps, some of you were curious to see my new computer and asked me about seeing it, however, I just haven't had any time to edit all my photos and share them here. I will share them as soon as they become available, yeah, when I have time to put them into a slideshow, so you can see my workstation as well with me in the picture...LOL. I am not showing off, just sharing about what I recently bought for myself. As for my new screen, my husband needs a new monitor so he will end up with the one I have here now, because I am planning to get a 20" monitor screen for my online movies. That is what I wanted the first time, but I didn't get to buy it, because this screen came with my computer. It was all a package, on sale and so I had no way to exchange it even when I asked. Okay, this is all for now. We will be going out to check out another computer that has wireless keyboard and mouse for my future purchase, because I need one that is built for multi-tasking and is a lot faster when it comes to web-browsing. My husband can use this computer if I am not on it. Our old computer is almost kaput anyway-I still need to retrieve all my files there. This computer I have now will be for graphics (my husband and I do graphics editing; his is Engineering though while mine is just playing around-for a hobby...LOL) and video games, and movies I watch online coming from my homeland. My husband bought a new DVD player that was on sale

My husband bought a new DVD player, and finally we can rent DVD movies and watch them when we get off the computer. We are practicing a healthy habit; sleeping early and eat right. Exercise as soon as the weather is reasonable. So that is it, we are trying to do the right thing so we can live longer and be around for our children who needs us most. How nice I thought that he found a DVD player on sale and was able to buy it cheap enough. It is however, just to use temporarily because he wants an all-region DVD player because I like to rent movies from my homeland. The last time I rented some, I only wasted money because it didn't play on our DVD. Well, that was a waste of money for sure. The next time I start renting we have to have the all-region DVD player first, to not waste any more money I don't have as I would rather give the money to my people back home. I feel bad for all my loved ones, and so I help them all I can and whenever possible. A little money makes them happy and put a smile on their faces. Oh, I enjoy it when I see them smiling back at me. It makes it all worth it for me to help them, and know that it makes a difference in their lives somehow-being not so fortunate to have all the money and material things in the world. They certainly appreciate having someone like me, who is generous enough to think of them all. One thing I wish we had when I was young. Anyway, I don't mind helping them, because what matters to me is not what they can give back as I; in no means expect anything when I give, I expect nothing in return but only their happiness, that I can see them smiling and little kids jumping for joy. It's Spring and time for me to get in shape

It’s Spring and time for me to start working out to get in shape, so I can wear some nice outfits. I haven’t been exercising, and all I have done is sit around; doing my computer activities most of the time. I don’t even get up a lot and try to stretch, maybe this is why I am always aching and in pain. I have got to do some stretching and exercise regularly so I will not only look good-with an hour glass figure, nah, just kidding…LOL-but also can live longer not having any medical issue, because what if I have a blood clot or stroke? One must take some time to be healthy and keep everything working. It is better to be safe than sorry by being active, otherwise I could look like a walking dead. Well, that is not me, I like to be active and go to places where I can enjoy life. I am adventurous and like to try new things if possible. So I can’t afford to let myself go. I am young and I should live it up. Looking good is nice, only I don't care for when even little boys start flirting with me as if I am their age...LOL. It happens because of my being so tiny...eeek! I am not only small but short. So, ugh! It is embarrassing, but a good thing I have my children with me because it helps...LOL.

My computer is supposed to be new but it slows down at times

My husband is always the first one to use the computer every morning. And by the time I wake up, my computer would slow down. I guess it's already been loaded with all the browsing history and temporary files. So what I do to make my computer perform like lightning fast again is delete all the browsing history by going to "Tools" and select delete all browsing history, etc, and temporary files by clicking "My Computer" and do a disk cleanup. That helps with giving my computer a much faster speed. However, my computer is supposed to be new and has plenty of room for browsing the net and storing images, even built for playing video games and graphic editing like I do. I can't understand why it takes too long to load the page I am trying to access sometimes. See, when I work online, it takes at least 5 minutes or even longer at times for a page to load. And my, I can't tell you how bad it irritates me. It is like to the point that I want to get rid of it, and replace it with a new computer that is built for web-browsing only. A more customized to what I do. I might just do that, if this slow loading computer keeps up with performing like a snail...LOL. My husband would love to have this computer for himself because it is new and to him it works lighting fast, well, when he turns it on the first time and as far as web-browsing is concerned. However, if I give it to him, my graphics editing will have to stay because of the huge space it has. Oh, it bugs me to have to wait around and miss my opps...LOL. Ah. bottom line: I'll buy a laptop instead.

I am due for a complete smile makeover

I am due for a complete smile makeover; because I learned that I have a small cavity in my front tooth. It actually spread to the adjacent tooth which is panicking me because I would not be able to smile if I let it go for too long. Who can possibly not like such an upbeat song? Oh, that song rocks! I love it as I am an upbeat person, so naturally I like upbeat music. The "Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now" song is one of my favorite songs, you know. The first time I heard it, I already liked it. What a nice song. So I had to share it here. It is quite an old song now, but it is timeless. Everybody still likes it up to this day. Anyway, that is what came to my mind this morning when I got up. I was visiting my Random Matters blog and played it because I have it below my blog for my music back ground, only sang by my fellow Filipinos. I couldn't find the original so I had to settle for what I can find. There is nothing like the origial for sure. Okay this is all for now. Enjoy hearing the song I have here. And by the way, I saw the "Mannequin" movie featured on the video here. I had fun time watching it; a romantic comedy movie. It is hilarious to watch as it reminds me of the "Pink Panther" movies seeing the lead police officer always aggravated and get into so much trouble...LOL. The characters really fit their roles, and I would say Kim Katrall is drop dead gorgeous-being the mannequin, and, of course, the guy is cute. As for the others, they are the original singers of the song the "Starship". I just don't remember seeing the Starship people in the movie though, but more likely because I didn't know about them before.

I enjoy watching the travel channel

When time permits me I always like to watch the travel channel because it is entertaining for me to watch the different travelers on there like Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern, and the rest of the gangs. Oh, it makes me hungry to watch them travel and eat food from different cultures. I can eat what they eat except the live ones; I don't like to eat anything raw, except if it is like fish and oysters that has vinegar and lemons. Speaking of food, I am thinking about fixing a "fish kilawin" (raw fish soaked in vinegar with spices when I can go to a Filipino store soon. Anyway, I can only wish I can travel someday and eat food from different cultures. It fascinates me to travel and explore what the rest of the world offers. I especially like the food...LOL, and I find eating some of the food that Andrew Zimmern eats appetizing. I am an adventurous eater, and I can easily try out eating some food I am not normally used as long it is cooked, and doesn't smell so awful. I don't think I can eat snakes, raw frogs, raw insects, and rats, etc. Those would definitely turn my stomach inside out...oh, so gross. Alright this is all for now. Google page ranking and how to get a page rank

I now realized that page ranking has almost nothing to do with ex-changing links at all-well, not so much, and drawing lots of traffic to your blog. Too much of everything can be overwhelming and just no good period. But it has everything to do with maintaining a clean blog, what I mean is an uncluttered blog with a good code template. I noticed that, when I saw some blogs that hardly have anybody visit having a page rank of 2-3. Imagine that? The keys to getting a page rank sounds more like the following:

1. Just make sure your blog has a good clean template.
2. Maintain it with writing posts often-keep it updated anyway.
3. Include pictures in your post if possible-to spice it up.
3. You can ex-links but don't go overboard, because too much links can decrease your chances in getting a page rank-I read about that you know.
4. Always be careful with your keywords, or what you say because Google looks for them.
5. I read it helps not to mention the sites that let you earn molah...LOL.
6. Minimize or even take off the banners of sites you have on your blog especially those that let you see some dollar signs.
7. Go to Google.com for the Meta tag or Meta html code so your blog is googlebot friendly-to be indexed that is.

Congratulations to the New Graduates!!!

My siblings graduated from high school and college this year. I just want to convey my congratulations on this post. Finally, they finished their vocational courses, actually just course since both my brother and sister decided to take one course which is being a "computer programmer". Well, we will see about how they will do. I just wish them the best, and will look forward to hearing about their successes. I hope they can use their skills. It will be awful to go to college and then end up working an unskilled job anyway which would be bad. But, of course, it is becoming common now, that you can't find any work related to what you took, or simply that there are no jobs around for you. It is normally the case in my country that people who are highly educated have no choice but work at burger establishments. That is sad. My brother went to school taking Bachelor of Science in Office System Management, but he never was able to find a job related to that. So he had to find a job that he can do just to survive. Going to school in my province doesn’t seem to make a difference. It is almost like a waste of money-that is according to me, unless one can afford to go to a Nursing School, etc to get a much higher level of education. Everybody else below is dead beat.
